Mesh No Fun at All

On July 24, Philadelphia’s Mesh release their debut album No Fun At All via Feel It Records. After releasing their self-titled cassette EP in 2021 via Born Yesterday, they’re returning with a full-length set of jangle-punk, and today, they’ve released the first single, “Violent Peasant.” It’s an urgent and infectious ripper, loaded with 12-string guitar leads, a pulsing bassline, and a chant-along chorus. It merges the best elements of ’60s psychedelia and ’70s post-punk into 2 minutes and 43 seconds of driving energy and a captivating tension that holds it all together. And despite the album’s title, it’s loads of fun. Listen to “Violent Peasant” and turn it way up.
