Slumberland announces compilation of early Velocity Girl tracks

Slumberland Records has announced a new compilation of early material from Velocity Girl. On August 28, it’ll release 1989-1992, which covers the pre-Sub Pop era from the influential Washington, D.C., indie rock group including recordings with original vocalist Bridget Cross, later of Unrest, as well as their earliest singles with vocalist Sarah Shannon. Hear “Forgotten Favorite,” an early version of “My Forgotten Favorite,” which was featured on the soundtrack to Clueless, below.
