Avalanche Kaito share video for intense new song “Tanvusse”
Avalanche Kaito are returning with a new album on April 12, Talitakum, via Glitterbeat Records. It follows their 2022 self-titled album, and today, the Belgian-Burkinabe noise/post-punk group have shared a new video for the single “Tanvusse,” directed by Rafael Espinel.
“Tanvusse” is a fiery, frantic, intense track with punishing, Death Grips-inspired industrial hip-hop beats and intricate polyrhythmic elements—an absolute firecracker of a song. A statement about the video reads, “The video enigmatically plays on the mysterious messages buried in the sub-layers of a Burkinabe tale in which a long-toothed old woman distills opaque advice to a young man.” Watch it below.
