Can announce new live album, Live in Brighton 1975
The next title in Can‘s series of live albums has been announced. On December 3, Mute/Spoon Records will release Can Live in Brighton 1975, in digital, CD and limited triple gold vinyl editions. The release follows Live in Stuttgart 1975—one of our favorite releases of May—and like that live album, features several lengthy improvisational and exploratory pieces that incorporate elements of their recorded songs, and includes some rare vocals from guitarist Michael Karoli. Journalist Kris Needs describes the performances from this era as “like a delirious astral roller coaster, launch-pad a distant speck within minutes as fleeting melodies, vocal lines or rhythms… loomed like iridescent ghosts then evaporated as the spirit took them somewhere else.”
