Dev Hynes loses all possessions, dog in apartment fire
Some really tragic and upsetting news this morning from Dev Hynes — the singer, songwriter and producer, also known as Blood Orange, announced on Twitter that his New York City apartment burned down, taking everything his owns, and sadly, his dog with it:
“Last night, the unthinkable happened. My entire apt burnt down while I was out. I’ve lost everything I own, including scores, hard drives… clothes, sentimental items. Everything from my life is gone. My dog died in the fire. I will love you forever Cupid. I miss you.”
A GoFundMe page has been set up by the mother of Friends vocalist Samantha Urbani, who is also Hynes’ girlfriend, with the aim of raising money to help Hynes recover from the loss. “Last night in a tragic apartment fire my daughter’s boyfriend Dev Hynes lost everything- important music he is composing, computers, clothes, personal and sentimental belongings..and their little puppy Cupid :(,” she writes. “Please donate if you can. Even a dollar will help.” Donate here.
