Every Bob Dylan album collected in new box set
Bob Dylan is one of the music industry’s favorite sources of reissues, with various albums, remasters, bootleg recordings and other things being issued, reissued, repackaged, remastered and whatever else they do in the biz. And now, Dylan will be the subject of the ultimate reissue. On Nov. 5, Columbia/Legacy will release The Complete Album Collection Vol. One, which collects — you guessed it — every Bob Dylan album ever released.
Highway 61 Revisited? Yep. Blonde on Blonde? You betcha. Self-Portrait? Yeah, that one too. Saved? Yeah, even that one.
All 35 of Dylan’s studio albums are in the box set, including 1973’s Dylan, which will make its debut on CD in the U.S. It also includes six live albums and a bonus two-disc compilation of non-album material called Side Tracks. There’s also a hardcove book with liner notes and photos.
A digital version of the set will be released, with downloads broken up by decade (’60s, ’70s, etc.). And the digital version will be housed on a USB drive housed in a limited edition harmonica-shaped case. Pretty cool.
A Vol. 2 is also in the works, which will include all the collected Bootleg Series issues. Check out the full contents of the box below.
