Rock Docs Podcast: No Direction Home: Bob Dylan with guest Erin Callahan
After a few weeks off for the holidays, Rock Docs returns with a new episode on an old favorite: Bob Dylan. This week’s doc is No Direction Home: Bob Dylan, which was directed by cinema legend Martin Scorsese.
No Direction Home was originally broadcast as part of the American Masters series on PBS. It features lengthy interviews with Bob as well as many of the musicians and other folks he interacted with on his rise to superstardom. It ends in 1966 and then that’s that. It’s the kind of documentary that mostly hits the highlights, but honestly, the dude had a lot of highlights! So that’s OK.
This week’s guest is Erin Callahan, host of the “Infinity Goes Up on Trial” Bob Dylan podcast.
And while you’re in the mood for some Dylan-related content, your hosts, Andy Keatts and David Lizerbram, recommend you read our Treble 100 feature from last year on Bob Dylan’s Blonde on Blonde.
Hear the new episode below and check out the trailer for No Direction Home. It’s available to stream on PBS, and available for rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
