Fugazi releasing shows from live archive on Bandcamp

Back in the 2000s, after Fugazi went on indefinite hiatus, they began archiving a massive collection of live recordings from throughout their history, spanning from their earliest shows in 1987 on up through their final shows in 2002. Eventually hundreds of shows were archived on the Dischord website for a suggested download price of $5. Now, the band is planning to make complete shows from their live archive available on Bandcamp, as well as on other streaming services. On May 2, they’ll kick things off by adding two shows—their first concert, on Sept. 3, 1987 in Washington, D.C., as well as their last concert, on Nov. 4, 2002 in London. Thereafter, more shows from the archive will be added to Bandcamp and streaming services every month.
In the meantime, the original live archive on Dischord will remain online.
