Rock Docs returns in time for ’90s Month, and our hosts this month are taking on inarguably one of the most significant bands of the decade in terms of underground influence: Fugazi. This week, Andy Keatts and David Lizerbram discuss the 1999 film Instrument, directed by Jem Cohen in collaboration with the band.

Joining them is Vish Khanna, host of the Kreative Kontrol podcast. And just ahead of the release of this episode, Khanna had his own discussion with all four members of the band as well as director Cohen to discuss the 25th anniversary of the film. You can hear that episode here.

As our hosts put it, “We over at Rock Docs HQ are thrilled to have played any small part in that momentous event. Nonetheless, we managed to keep it together and have a lively conversation with Vish about the band, his history with them, and this incredible film.”

Vish was also nice enough to share his thoughts about his friend, the late Steve Albini, a legend who the Rock Docs team never approached about being on the show, to our regret. Hear the full conversation below and see the film’s trailer.
