Pavement is the subject of a new musical coming to New York City next month. Slanted! Enchanted! A Pavement Musical is directed by Alex Ross Perry, the filmmaker behind the Courtney Love-inspired rock film Her Smell, and it’ll show on December 1 and 2 at Bleecker Street’s Sheen Center in New York. The December 1 show is at 8 p.m., and the subsequent show is a 2 p.m. matinee. The performances will feature Pavement songs as part of the show. Tickets can be found here.

A tagline for the show says, “The majesty and mystery of Pavement, one of rock music’s most unique treasures, brought to life on the stage for an abbreviated, unforgettable stand.” It also stars Michael Esper, Zoe Lister-Jones, and Kathryn Gallagher, and features arrangements by Keegan Dewitt and Dabney Morris and choreography by Angela Trimbur and assistant Tenaya Kelleher.

Pavement were also recently the subject of a traveling museum exhibition. Read our feature, Slanted and Enchanted—Pavement’s unabashed masterpiece at 30.
