The Flenser announces Low tribute album Your Voice Is Not Enough, featuring Planning for Burial, Have a Nice Life
The Flenser has announced a tribute album to Low. Your Voice is Not Enough will be released in 2024, and features covers of Low songs by the likes of Midwife, Planning For Burial, Drowse, Have a Nice Life and more. Today, Allison Lorenzen has shared her cover of “Words.” Hear it below.
A statement about the album says that it’s a “project born out of a conversation with Planning For Burial’s Thom Wasluck and The Flenser. Inspired by the nuanced beauty of Low’s discography, what began as a discussion on ranking favorite albums blossomed into a collaborative effort that brought together our close-knit group of Flenser artists and friends. Regrettably, the compilation took shape before the tragic passing of Mimi Parker, and in honoring her legacy, we dedicate this album to her memory, celebrating the profound impact she left on the music world.”
Low’s last album was 2021’s HEY WHAT. Read our Label of the Month feature on The Flenser.
