On Saturday, November 7, Joni Mitchell turns 77, and to mark the occasion, Fordham University radio station WFUV has announced The Joni Project. Intended to “measure the impact” and pay tribute to Mitchell’s body of work, the project brings together a number of different artists to cover songs from throughout the singer/songwriter’s catalog. It’s the second such project that WFUV has undertaken, following last year’s The Bruce Project, in which artists covered songs by Bruce Springsteen.

Among the participating artists are Sarah Jarosz (“Cactus Tree”), Courtney Marie Andrews (“Both Sides Now”), Son Little (“Woodstock”), Madison Cunningham (“California”), Margo Price (“River”), BAILEN (“A Case of You”), The Mountain Goats (“The Hissing of Summer Lawns”), Matthew Caws of Nada Surf (“Coyote”), Flock of Dimes (“Amelia”), and Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes (“Come In From the Cold”).
