The National announce new album, First Two Pages of Frankenstein

The National have just announced the details of their new album. On April 28, the group will release First Two Pages of Frankenstein via 4AD. It features guest appearances by Taylor Swift, Sufjan Stevens and Phoebe Bridgers. The first single is “Tropic Morning News.” Hear it below, and take a look at the album’s artwork tracklist.

In a press release, vocalist Matt Berninger said that the album was written when he was in “a very dark spot where I couldn’t come up with lyrics or melodies at all. Even though we’d always been anxious whenever we were working on a record, this was the first time it ever felt like maybe things really had come to an end.”
