Unreleased Johnny Cash live set from 1968 due out in September
A previously unreleased Johnny Cash live recording from 1968 is being released this year. At the Carousel Ballroom, April 24, 1968 is due out September 24 via Owsley Stanley Foundation/Renew Records/BMG/Legacy Recordings. The set was recorded in April 1968 at a venue in San Francisco that was run by members of Jefferson Airplane and the Grateful Dead. His band features June Carter Cash, Luther Perkins, Marshall Grant, and W.S. Holland. Hear a recording of “I’m Going to Memphis” below.
