Watch The Melody Chamber’s video for jangly, melodic post-punk single “Memories of Fall”

Richmond, Virginia-based post-punk/dream pop group The Melody Chamber release their self-titled debut album today, via Too Good To Be True/Happy Birthday to Me. It’s a hypnotically jangly record full of shimmering guitars and melodies reminiscent of early R.E.M., Echo & the Bunnymen and The Church, and today they’ve released a new video for leadoff track “Memories of Fall,” a blissfully hook-laden anthem that rides the blurry line between melancholy and euphoria.
The clip, directed by Jim Stramel, is a widescreen performance clip with vocalist Wallace Deitz coming in and out of focus, a hazy and dreamily mesmerizing visual to go with the group’s infectious post-punk hooks.
