Franz Ferdinand and Sparks are collaborating together on a project called FFS. You might be asking yourself if this is an April Fool’s joke, considering the name, and the timing of the announcement certainly doesn’t help. But this is, in fact, a real collaboration, and one that actually sounds like it might be amazing. The FFS album — which follows Franz Ferdinand’s Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action — will be released on June 8 via Domino, and was produced by John Congleton (Swans, Baroness, Angel Olsen). The first new music to come from the Franz Ferdinand Sparks collaboration is “Piss Off,” which you can check out below, along with tour dates and the album’s tracklist. Make note of a song called “Collaborations Don’t Work.” Hmmm.
