This year’s CMJ Music Marathon — a five-day event of live music happening throughout New York City — takes place from Oct. 21-25, and today, the festival just announced the first bands on its lineup. Heading up this year’s acts are shoegaze legends Slowdive, as well as Matthew Dear, Protomartyr, Courtney Barnett, Kate Boy, The Kills, Celebration, Gem Club, Reigning Sound, White Fence, The Wytches and many more.
Check out the full CMJ festival lineup here. The festival promises more than 1,300 artists, so this is really just the beginning, it would appear.
