D’Angelo announces summer U.S. tour dates
D’Angelo and the Vanguard are on the road in support of the fantastic new album Black Messiah, and they’ve announced even more dates for summer. “The Second Coming Tour” kicks off its U.S. leg in June in Oakland, and will swing around through the south on up to the east coast and Michigan. D’Angelo’s band on this tour comprises bassist Pino Palladino, guitarists Jesse Johnson and Isaiah Sharkey, drummer Chris “Daddy” Dave, keyboardist Cleo “Pookie” Sample, and vocalists Kendra Foster, Charlie Middleton and Jermain Holmes. Foster is a longtime member of George Clinton’s P-Funk. Check out the D’Angelo tour dates below.
