New David Bowie box set, Five Years: 1969-1973 out this fall
David Bowie is launching a series of archival box sets this fall with the first in the series being Five Years: 1969-1973. The new David Bowie box set covers the span of time indicated in its title, and will be released on Sept. 25. And it’s a pretty hefty box, featuring 12 CDs or 13 LPs, comprising his studio albums released during that timeframe, a couple of live albums, a different mix of Ziggy Stardust, and a compilation of rarities, outtakes and B-sides titled Re:Call 1.
The box features the albums David Bowie AKA Space Oddity, The Man Who Sold the World, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, Aladdin Sane and Pin Ups, and the live albums Live Santa Monica ’72 and Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture Soundtrack.
