Tim Hecker announces new album, Love Streams

On April 8, Canadian ambient producer Tim Hecker will release a new album titled Love Streams, via 4AD. A press release states that Hecker was inspired by ideas like “liturgical aesthestics after Yeezus” and the “transcendental voice in the age of auto-tune,” while he was making the album. It was recorded in 2014 and 2015 at Greenhouse Studios in Reykjavik, Iceland, and features Kara-Lis Coverdale and Grímur Helgason, whom he also collaborated with on Virgins, as well as the Icelandic Choir Ensemble. That’s the album’s artwork above. Hecker has also announced a few spring tour dates, which you can check out below, along with the album’s tracklist.
Love Streams follows 2013’s Virgins.
