Sun Kil Moon announces new album, shares “God Bless Ohio”
After releasing three albums in a little over two years—and courting a little bit of controversy in the process—Mark Kozelek is getting ready to release yet another Sun Kil Moon album. On February 28, 2017, Sun Kil Moon will release a new double album titled Common As Light And Love Are Red Valleys Of Blood, via his own Caldo Verde Records. The announcement was made on the Sun Kil Moon website, along with a stream of a new track titled “God Bless Ohio,” which will be featured on the album. You can stream the song here. So far, the details of the album have yet to be fleshed out, including tracklist or album art.
Common As Light and Love Are Red Valleys of Blood follows 2015’s Universal Themes and Kozelek’s collaboration with Justin Broadrick from earlier this year, Jesu/Sun Kil Moon.
