Frankie Rose announces new album, Cage Tropical
Frankie Rose has just announced a new album. On August 11, she’ll release Cage Tropical, via Slumberland. It comes after a period of Rose questioning her career and going through a rough patch, ultimately finding solace in her own music. “Misery turned into something good,” she says in a press release. “The whole record to me is a redemption record and it is the most positive one I’ve made.”
The album was also inspired heavily by science fiction, including Art Bell’s Coast to Coast radio program, as well as the movies of Dario Argento and John Carpenter. The first single is called “Trouble,” and its visualizer includes a phone number that listeners can call to share their UFO experiences. The hotline is based out of Roswell, New Mexico. (Of course it is.)

Cage Tropical follows 2013’s Herein Wild.
