Carlos Niño & Friends and Saul Williams announce collaborative album

Carlos Niño & Friends and Saul Williams have announced a new collaborative album. On Aug. 28, they’ll release Saul Williams meets Carlos Niño & Friends at TreePeople via International Anthem, which was recorded live, underneath black oak and walnut trees in Coldwater Canyon Park, Los Angeles last December. It includes an ensemble that features Nate Mercereau, Kamasi Washington, Aaron Shaw, Maia, Andres Renteria, and Francesca Heart. The album also features an appearance from poet Aja Monet. Today they’ve shared “Sound Then Words.” Hear it below.
They’ve also lined up a series of live performances this fall. Check out those dates below.
