Elliott Smith’s XO and Figure 8 get deluxe digital editions for his 50th birthday
Today would have been Elliott Smith‘s 50th birthday, and to mark the occasion, UMe has released deluxe digital editions of two of his albums, 1998’s XO and 2000’s Figure 8. Each one features bonus tracks previously not included on each album. The former features Smith’s Oscar-nominated single “Miss Misery,” from Good Will Hunting, as well as b-sides such as the great “How to Take a Fall,” while the latter features his cover of The Beatles’ “Because,” from American Beauty, as well as his take on “Figure 8,” from Schoolhouse Rocks. Both editions feature tracks that were previously unavailable on streaming services. Hear both newly released deluxe edition albums below.
