Julia Holter announces new album, Something in the Room She Moves

Julia Holter has announced a new album. On March 22, she’ll release Something in the Room She Moves via Domino. It’s her first new album in six years, and features the recently released single “Sun Girl.” Today, she’s shared another new song, “Spinning,” which you can hear below. She’s also lined up tour dates in the U.S., which you can check out below as well.

“There’s a corporeal focus, inspired by the complexity and transformability of our bodies,” Holter said about the album in a press release. “I was trying to create a world that’s fluid-sounding, waterlike, evoking the body’s internal sound world.” 

Julia Holter’s last non-classical and non-film score album was 2018’s Aviary.
