Kamasi Washington debuts short film for “Get Lit”

Kamasi Washington has debuted the new short film for “Get Lit,” from his new album Fearless Movement. It’s directed by Jenn Nkiru, and was shot in the Leimert Park neighborhood of Los Angeles where Washington got his start as a jazz musician. It stars Saul Williams, longtime bandmember Patrice Quinn as well as Washington himself, and also includes appearances from George Clinton, Inglewood rapper D Smoke, Willow Smith, Raphael Saadiq, Robert Glasper, and others.
