On May 27, Australian-born noise/ambient artist Ben Frost will release his new album, A U R O R A, via Mute Records. Recorded in the Congo, and featuring guests like Swans’ Thor Harris and Guardian Alien’s Greg Fox, the album promises to be a massive sonic beast. Which is exactly what we like to hear.
Today, Ben Frost has debuted the first streamable song from the album, titled “Venter.” It’s a heavily percussive, atmospheric piece of music that grows into a stormy and overwhelming epic piece. This isn’t so much ambient music as the heaviest music you can make with synthesizers. Listen to it below, and be blown away.
