Neko Case announces career retrospective, Wild Creatures

Neko Case has announced a new digital career retrospective, Wild Creatures, which is being released on Friday via Anti-. The compilation features songs from throughout her career, on up through her most recent album, 2018’s Hell-On, as well as a new track, “Oh, Shadowless.” A video for the new song will premiere on Friday. On Friday, Case will also unveil a new website presentation of the retrospective, with animated artwork from Laura Plansker to accompany each track, as well as commentary from essays from Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield, her New Pornographers bandmate A.C. Newman and Garbage’s Shirley Manson, commentary from Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, Calexico’s Joey Burns, Kevin Morby, David Byrne, Roseanne Cash, Mayim Biyalik and many others.

Case has also announced a 2022 tour, the dates of which you can check out below. And on May 19, she’s hosting her first livestream performance, “Wild Creatures: Live from the Lung,” at 8:30 p.m. for Substack subscribers.
