New Releases: 7/9
We’re in the middle of summer, which means that the album release schedule isn’t quite as robust as it’s about to get in around four to six weeks. But there’s still some good stuff to pick up, including our new Album of the Week by Daughn Gibson. Also, some hip-hop dude is releasing an album on cellphones or something. We’ll look into that. In any case, here’s what’s out today, in local shops and at Insound.
Daughn Gibson – Me Moan
Editors – The Weight Of Your Love
Freddie Gibbs – ESGN – Evil Seeds Grown Naturally
Hebronix – Unreal
Jay-Z – Magna Carta Holy Grail
Maps – Vicissitude
Octopus Project – Fever Forms
Robert Pollard – Honey Locust Honky Tonk
Scud Mountain Boys – Do You Love The Sun
Skylar Grey – Don’t Look Down
Thundercat – Apocalypse (physical release)
