Pixies announce tour dates
Nearly ten years after their first round of reunion dates, more than 20 years after their breakup, and just a couple weeks after the announcement that Kim Deal has left the band, The Pixies have announced a new leg of an upcoming world tour. Replacing Deal for the tour is Kim Shattuck, also of The Muffs. Frank Black has said that the live shows will include performances of songs rarely or never played before. Weirdly enough, they’ve never shied away from b-sides, and if you’ve caught the band live in the last decade, you probably caught their cover of David Lynch’s “In Heaven,” or “Here Comes the Man” b-side “Into the White,” but nothing from Trompe Le Monde. So maybe that’ll change this time? Fingers crossed.
