Slowdive share new song, “the slab”

Slowdive have shared another new song from their upcoming album, everything is alive, which is out September 1 via Dead Oceans. After sharing “skin in the game” and “kisses,” they’ve released another new single, titled “the slab.”

Neil Halstead said of the new song in a statement, “This is the heaviest track on the record and as the name suggests we wanted it to feel like a big slab of music. We wanted it to feel very dense.”

Slowdive’s last album was their 2017 self-titled album. Slowdive’s “Souvlaki Space Station” is featured on our list, A History of Shoegaze in 45 Essential Tracks.
