Sunn O))) announce new live album, Metta, Benevolence
Sunn O))) have announced a new live album, recorded at the BBC’s historic Maida Vale Studios. On November 26, the drone duo will release Metta, Benevolence. BBC 6Music: Live on the Invitation of Mary Anne Hobbs via Southern Lord. Vinyl editions will be released on January 28. The album features live recordings of tracks from their recent albums Life Metal and Pyroclasts, which were recorded and broadcast in October of 2019. The two “Pyroclasts” pieces feature guest vocals from Swedish organist/vocalist and Southern Lord labelmate Anna Von Hausswolff, with whom the band was touring during these recordings. The group have shared a track, “Troubled Air,” which you can hear below.
