Wolves in the Throne Room announce new album, Primordial Arcana

Wolves in the Throne Room have announced a new album. On August 20, the group will release Primordial Arcana via Relapse. It’s the Washington black metal group’s first release for Relapse, and its first single is titled “Mountain Magick.” Check out the video below, which was directed by the band.

“Mountain Magick was shot in the northern reaches of the Olympic Mountains and the ancient forests that shroud the foothills,” the band says in a press release. “We wrote the story, created the costumes, shot the footage and did the editing ourselves, so it is a true product of our hearts and souls. Creating our own videos has been a long standing dream and now It’s very exciting to bring these Visions into the Cinematic Realm.”

The album is also being released in a deluxe box set version that includes a flag, medallion and 12-sided die inside a velvet pouch, as well as the bonus track, “Skyclad Passage.”

Wolves in the Throne Room’s last album was Thrice Woven.
