Last month, Yo La Tengo announced the details of their upcoming EP, Sleepless Night, which will be released on October 9 via Matador Records. It’s a mostly covers set, though today they shared the sole original composition from the EP, titled “Bleeding.” Amid covers of songs performed by The Byrds, Bob Dylan and Ronnie Lane, “Bleeding” is a characteristic Yo La Tengo original that balances the band’s knack for late-night dreamy balladry with dense fuzz and rich production. Listen to the Yo La Tengo “Bleeding” stream below.

Yo La Tengo’s last album was 2018’s There’s A Riot Going On.
