No Age
The Waldron Arts Center – Bloomington, IN
Choice of Venue: Essentially an empty stage floor, a very personal, non-traditional space. Think I got Randy’s sweat on me.
8 of 10%
Audience: Mid-sized group, gathered in a semi-circle around No Age. Nice crowd, but not overly responsive.

Sound Quality: Lack of drum mics and a low vocal mix muddied the sound up but, on the brighter side, guitar mix kicked ass.

Opening Act: Local psych-garage act Frankie & The Witch Fingers warmed up the floor quite nicely. Good, sweaty fun.

Set Up: Randy has an impressive stack and Dean switched off between drums and bass, complementing their wide repertoire of sounds.

Set list: Good hour-plus of tunes ranging across their discography. Lots of new, but plenty of old.

Showmanship: A duo really has to milk their stage presence and No Age provide plenty of little tricks and antics to enjoy as you let your ears bleed.

Crowd Interaction: Among the best I’ve seen. Randy and Dean chatted with audience about which songs to play, L.A. t-shirts & co-op humor.
