Bob Dylan announces tour
There’s some apocryphal lore out there about musicians auditioning for Bob Dylan‘s band being expected to randomly play any song from his catalog, in any key, at any tempo. There’s probably some truth to that — he’s been known to switch things up a lot over the years, including playing “All Along the Watchtower” in a manner similar to Jimi Hendrix’s than his own. But he’s a living legend, so he basically gets to do what he wants. And with a new studio album in the works, and The Basement Tapes anthology on the way, Dylan has lined up a long list of tour dates to pull out whatever deep-catalog rabbits he’s got in his hat.
