Toro y Moi announces new album, What For?
Chaz Bundick, the South Carolina singer/songwriter and producer behind funky, synth-based outfit Toro y Moi, has been fairly busy of late with his Les Sins project, having released his debut album under that moniker, Michael, late in 2014, as well as having toured with the new group in 2014. But Bundick is getting back into Toro y Moi mode in 2015 with a brand new album. Pitchfork reports that on April 7, Toro y Moi will release What For?, his fourth album and follow-up to 2013’s Anything In Return, via Carpark. The full details of the album haven’t yet been released (like tracklist, for instance) but he’s released the first single from the album, titled “Empty Nesters,” which premiered on Zane Lowe’s BBC1 radio program. The image above is the artwork for the single.
