Erykah Badu shares mixtape of soul, funk, jazz classics
Erykah Badu has just shared a new mixtape of vintage soul, funk and jazz, Okayplayer reports. It’s called “Feel Better World!… Love Ms. Badu” and it’s been shared via Mixcloud. The mix spans one hour, 83 minutes (almost as long as a proper 90-minute mixtape), and features some classic cuts like Gary Bartz’s “Drinking Song,” as well as others by RAMP, Eddie Kendricks and others. The mix is intended as a dose of positivity, and Badu shared the following message with the release of it:
ALL OVER THE GLOBE…KEEP WALKING TALL BROTHERS AND SISTERS. SOMEDAY WE WILL ALL BE FREE. THE WORLD IS IN NEED OF HEALING…. I CAREFULLY AND LOVINGLY SELECTED HIGH FREQUENCY TONES FOR THE SOUL…. PLEASE LISTEN FROM TOP TO BOTTOM.
LOVE, ms. badu
