Laurie Anderson, Yo La Tengo to perform at Big Ears Festival
The Big Ears Festival takes place in Knoxville, Tennessee from March 31 to April 2, 2016. The festival focuses on avant garde music, and this year’s composer-in-residence is John Luther Adams. Additionally, Laurie Anderson and Philip Glass will debut their collaboration in North America at the festival.
The list of artists participating is pretty much uniformly interesting from there. Also featured on the Big Ears Festival 2016 lineup are Andrew Bird, Sunn O))), Anthony Braxton, Yo La Tengo, Tony Conrad with Faust, Ben Frost, Andy Stott, Nicolas Jaar, Angel Olsen, Wolf Eyes, Marc Ribot, Lambchop, Shabazz Palaces, Kamasi Washington, Circuit des Yeux and many others.
