Chromatics release “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” single
It’s looking more and more like a 2015 release of Chromatics’ new album Dear Tommy probably just isn’t going to happen. And that’s OK. You can’t rush genius, but the band is still issuing singles at a pretty steady rate. The latest is a cover of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” which was featured in a recent MANGO ad. Tomorrow the band will release a maxi-single with seven different versions of the song, one of them which now has a new video: “Girls Just Wanna Have Some.” You can watch the video below, which was directed by group leader Johnny Jewel (who is sometimes known by the name he reserves for visual arts aspects of the band’s work, Alberto Rossini).
Dear Tommy, whenever it arrives, will follow 2012’s Kill For Love.
