Listen: Arca – “Urchin”
Venezuelan producer Arca has had a pretty big 2015, having released his new album Mutant in November, in addition to lending his production talents to Björk’s Vulnicura and Kelela’s Hallucinogen. But he’s not letting the year end without giving us even more music, because that’s just how Arca rolls. Last week, he released the track “Monstruosidad,” and today he has yet another new track to share. It’s called “Urchin,” and it’s another thrilling four minutes of climactic, moody and intense electronic music. It progresses in different movements, eventually adding various layers, such as distorted, industrial beats or some sparse bits of piano, and lots and lots of synths, of course. Listen to the Arca “Urchin” stream below.
Kelela’s Hallucinogen, featuring production from Arca, is on our list of the Top 50 Albums of 2015.
