The xx playing first shows since 2014

The xx are getting back to performing after a couple years off. Today, Lollapalooza announced that the band will be headlining its three South American festivals, along with Metallica, The Weeknd and The Strokes. The three festivals will take place in Brazil on March 25-26; Argentina on March 31-April 1; and in Chile on April 1-2. The band’s last shows were in 2014.

Other band’s playing the three festivals include Duran Duran, Rancid, Flume, Tegan and Sara, The 1975, Two Door Cinema Club and Glass Animals.

The xx’s most recent album is Coexist. The band also appeared on member Jamie xx’s solo album from last year, In Colour. Watch the video for “Loud Places,” from that album, featuring Romy Madley-Croft.
