Future Islands announce new album, The Far Field

Future Islands are returning in 2017 with their fifth album. The Baltimore synth-pop group has announced they will release The Far Field on April 7 via 4AD. The album was recorded with producer John Congleton and features string and horn arrangements by Patrick McMinn. The album also features a guest appearance by Blondie’s Deborah Harry, who also recently lent her vocals to Blood Orange’s Freetown Sound.

The band has released a new single from the album, “Ran,” which you can stream below. The band has also lined up tour dates behind the album. Check those out below.
