The Rentals announce tour dates
On Aug. 26, The Rentals — the indie pop group fronted by former Weezer bassist Matt Sharp (and once counted SNL‘s Maya Rudolph as a member) — will release Lost In Alphaville, the band’s first full-length album in 15 years, via Polyvinyl. The album features The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney, and was mixed by D. Sardy, whose extremely long CV includes work with everyone from Helmet to Jay-Z.
The group has also lined up a series of tour dates in support of the album in September. It’s a short list, for now, but there’s a half-dozen opportunities for you to catchy the fuzzy pop outfit

9/7 Pomona, CA – Glass House (W)(O)
9/8 San Francisco, CA – Slim’s (O)
9/25 Philadelphia, PA – Union Transfer
