American Football share two new songs: “Rare Symmetry” and a cover of Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You”
American Football have shared two new tracks. The group today released “Rare Symmetry,” as well as their cover of Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You,” which features guest vocals from Miya Folick. These two songs are also the last that American Football will release with founding member Steve Lamos, who announced he was leaving the group earlier this year. Both tracks are available digitally now, and will be released on 10-inch vinyl in June via Polyvinyl.
“I think all my friends are jealous that I’m on an American Football song,” Folick says in a statement. “I truly couldn’t believe when they asked me to sing with them. And to sing this song. Is there anyone who has heard ‘Fade Into You’ and not loved it? To me, it is a perfect song. I feel ancient when I sing it.”
