Can’s Damo Suzuki, Tindersticks, Thundercat to play Big Ears Festival 2020
The annual Big Ears Festival in Tennessee is a regular showcase for diverse, experimental, avant garde and other groundbreaking musical acts, and the initial lineup for 2020’s edition has been announced. The festival takes place March 26-29 in Knoxville, and the lineup includes Tindersticks, Múm celebrating the 20th anniversary of Yesterday Was Dramatic—Today Is OK, Can’s Damo Suzuki, Thundercat, Efterklang, Mdou Moctar and Xylouris White.
Also on the festival are Shabaka & the Ancestors, Terry Riley and Ryan Giley, Meredith Monk and Bang On a Can Orchestra, Christian Scott, Saul Williams and Sudan Archives. Plus Kim Gordon, Steve Gunn, Bill Nace and John Trucsinski performing a live score to Andy Warhol’s Kiss, and Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones collaborates with cellist Anssi Karttunen as Sons of Chipotle.
