Depeche Mode announce 2023 tour dates

Depeche Mode have announced a 2023 tour. It’s the group’s first live dates in five years, and their first since the death of longtime member Andrew “Fletch” Fletcher. They’re also planning to release their next album, Memento Mori, in spring 2023. More info, including tickets, can be found here.

Martin Gore said in a statement, “We started work on this project early in the pandemic, and its themes were directly inspired by that time. After Fletch’s passing, we decided to continue as we’re sure this is what he would have wanted, and that has really given the project an extra level of meaning.” Dave Gahan added, “Fletch would have loved this album. We’re really looking forward to sharing it with you soon, and we can’t wait to present it to you live at the shows next year.”

Depeche Mode’s last album was 2017’s Spirit. Their 1987 album Music for the Masses is featured on our list of the 150 Best Albums of the 1980s.
