Frank Ocean cancels shows due to torn vocal cord
Frank Ocean has been forced to cancel a trio of live shows in Australia this week, according to Billboard. Last night he had some difficulties with his voice, and was later diagnosed with a minor tear in his vocal cord.
A post from Live Nation on Facebook states, “Unfortunately due to Frank Ocean’s tight tour schedule it is not possible to schedule replacement dates, however we will be working to confirm a return to Australia as soon as is practical.”
The three shows Ocean had scheduled, tonight at Melbourne’s Festival Hall, and July 29 and 30 at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, have been canceled, with no immediate plans to reschedule. For now, no other future shows have been canceled, though it remains to be seen whether Ocean plans to return to performing in August.
