glass beach announce new album, plastic death

Last month, glass beach released new single “The CIA,” an epic of an indie rock song that we named an Essential Track. Now, the Los Angeles group have followed that up by announcing their next album, plastic death, out January 19 via Run for Cover. Today, they’ve shared a new song, “Rare Animal,” which you can hear below. Also check out the album’s tracklist and their upcoming tour dates.

J. McClendon of glass beach said in a statement, “This album is the Pacific garbage patch, cultural trash strewn together seemingly by accident, standing in stark juxtaposition to each other.”
