Hear a new song from Shabaka, “Dance in Praise”

Shabaka‘s new album Of the Earth is a little over a week from its release date of March 6, and after two early singles, the versatile jazz artist has released another new track from his upcoming album. Today he releases “Dance In Praise,” a song that he describes in a press release as being “driven by unhinged dreams of diasporic Caribbean futurism.” Hear it below.

Shabaka is featured on our list, 20 Essential Artists from the 21st Century Jazz Renaissance. His last album was 2024’s Perceive Its Beauty, Acknowledge Its Grace.
